Baylor Bold Weekend

How is it already March?!  This week has been nothing short of fun and exciting with preparations for March Madness!  Monday’s practice started off very early once again, and we were able to use the downstairs gym that cheer normally uses for practice!  This was really nice to be able to use considering we are performing at the Baylor Men’s Basketball game on Saturday!  We were able to use the floor without a mirror and gain confidence going in front of a crowd with this routine for the first time!  That night, my roommate and I went out to watch the basketball game against Oklahoma State University! It was a close call at the end and Baylor pulled through.

Tuesday was a very relaxing day consisting of school and hanging out with friends.  Later in the day, I had to go to Mclane where I filmed videos for future recruits to watch.  They will be sent the videos I made to learn different material that will prepare them for the recruitment process!  I loved being back at Mclane and it made me so excited for football season soon!

Wednesday was another early practice day that was extremely exhausting!  We are putting in the work, however, and it is going to be so worth it.  We made a lot of progress today which made us excited for the competition in April.  After practice, I headed to class and met up with some friends to study for our exam!  The Baylor community is a great place to meet new people from all over.  It is crazy to think I have so many friends from so many different states and even countries!

I woke up to one of the greatest messages a college kid can receive during the week, and that is a message stating class being canceled!  I was still awake, however, so I headed to the business school to catch up on some work.  I ran into my friends on the tennis team and we studied together before we all decided to head home.

Saturday morning came, and it was another double header at the Ferrell!  This was a super exciting day for Baylor Athletics.  The Songleader team performed at halftime for both the men’s and women’s games!  Any day that we get to cheer on the bears is a great day, and it was the perfect start to spring break.  It was such an exciting time to witness the seniors on the basketball teams get recognized.  They have been an amazing asset to Baylor University and it will not be the same without them next year.

We are heading into the rest of Baylor Bold Weekend cheering on baseball, softball, and tennis as well!  Sic 'Em!
