THE KINGS ARE BACK: LIGHT THE BEAM
Monday morning was early and we took our flight back to Waco! It was nice waking up and getting back home. I loved the time we had in Florida, but it was a very exhausting weekend. Our teams did phenomenal, and we are 2nd in the nation! It was such an exciting time to be able to represent the university we love so well!
Tuesday morning was a huge wake up knowing that it was back to the grindstone with school. I woke up and went to Business Law. After my one class for the day, I was exhausted and needed to go home and take a nap. I then headed back to the business school to take a make-up exam I missed from when I was gone.
Wednesday was a full day of classes, and thankfully we had the week off of practice! It was spent catching up on school and hanging out with my roommates. After my long day ended around 5pm, I came home, ate dinner, and took advantage of not having anything due the rest of the week. I then went on a late night ice cream run with my roommate Sara to Andy’s. I love the time I get to spend with her and all of our fun adventures!
Thursday I woke up early to head to the courthouse in Cameron, TX! It was a very fun and eventful morning getting to shadow defense attorneys and lawyers from the area. I was given this opportunity through my professor, Judge Wright. I was so thankful for this opportunity and the experiences from it! When I got back, my roommates and I went to Shorty’s and had a lot of fun!
Friday came and it was time for formal! Sigma Chi held a formal in Austin and it was a blast! I loved being able to hang out with all my friends and get out of town.
FINALLY THE DAY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR. The Kings played the Warriors! I have been waiting for this day for the last 17 years. The Kings have been my favorite team since I was born, and getting to watch them in the first round of the playoffs was so exciting. We beat the Warriors, and it was a night Sactown will never forget! LIGHT THE BEAM.
